What is the guestlist?

The secret to a good, authentic Irish pub is that everyone knows each other. You create a community within the pub. The word "Pub" is short for "Public House" which is a place where the people from the community surrounding the pub would congregate to discuss news and events before there were newspapers and 24-hour news. The community in the pub became friends. Everyone knew everyone else through the pub. In modern times, the only way we have found to do this is to make sure that everyone has a chance to get to know everyone else - starting with the staff and Tony Finnegan.

Who is on guestlist?

A variety of people from local heroes, politicians, celebrities to the blue collar workers and freshly annointed 21 year olds looking for a safe place to have a good time. We have a variety of folks from all ethnic backgrounds, all ages and all creeds. The guestlist began as a list of our Facebook friends who we knew to be solid, friendly folks. Because not everyone had a facebook page, it slowly has grown to over 6,700 names. Approximately 2% of the Manteca, Stockton and Lodi population. We expanded the list to include all currently enrrolled UOP students and faculty.

When do you run the guestlist?

Pretty much any night of the week. We are busy and full of people 7 days a week. We put our friends first - always. So if that means that we run the guest list every night, thats what we will do. Our door is always open to our friends.

How do I get on the guestlist?

Simple, go to www.Facebook.com/FinnPub and request to be Tony Finnegan's friend. Or you can come with a friend who is already a friend on facebook (as long as we have room, you are in dress code and your friend is permitted to have guests). You can be enrolled in the University of the Pacific and have your student ID on you. If you dont have a facebook account and don't want to start one. Simply fill out our online form (coming soon!). You will be notified once you have been accpeted.

Why wasnt I accepted to be on the guestlist?

I dont know. We get hundreds of requests a month. Each one is verified and reviewed for accuracy and content. This takes time. Some are processed more quickly based on if you have enough friends in common. The more friends you have who are on our guestlist, the better chances you will be processed quickly.
